Busy Week for the Syndicate

There has never been a better time to come out to a Youngstown Comedy Syndicate show (for free, by the way) or try your hand at some stand-up comedy. The YCS presents three shows this week:

Thursday (2/10): The Lemon Grove Cafe in downtown Youngstown at 9:45

Friday (2/11): University Pizzeria on the YSU campus at 9:30

Sunday (2/13): Metter's Bar and Grille, Warren (this is an open mic competition for comics to get stage time at the Funny Farm)

There are also some awesome shows this week at the Funny Farm, including some great package deals for Valentines Day (the old hotel, meal,comedy show bundle). Double Bill (*ahem) at the Funny Farm

Pittsburgh’s Bill Scott hits the Funny Farm stage this weekend for two shows (Friday, Feb 4th at 9:45 and Saturday, Feb. 5th at 8:00). The incomparable Bill Boronkay will accompany him. That is two Bills for the price of one, hence the “double Bill” joke in the title.

That is pretty funny. Just admit it.

The Funny Farm in West Middlesex (at the Radisson)is pleased to welcome Mike Jones (BET)for two shows this weekend:

Saturday January 29th @ 8:00pm

Mike is a repeat guest on BET’S COMIC VIEW, a national touring headliner and performs at colleges and comedy clubs across the country. He is also a FUNNY FARM favorite.

Cedars Lounge (Wednesday, Feb 2nd) Groundhog Day Night: Gobblers Knob Comedy Open Mic

Feburary 2nd is our first show at Cedars Lounge in downtown Youngstown. It will be an intimate show featuring sketch comedy by Reverse Cowboy (hopefully) and a limited number of local and regional comedians performing extended stand-up sets.

Of course, admission is free. And the bartenders will be offering up some terrific drink specials, like cheap-ass PBR.

The “Vulcan Mindbender” is a real—and delicious—drink (which is a Cedar's special, but probably not a drink special this night). We will test the lovely Aspasia to see if she can whip one up for us.
